ABOUT

A letter from Pastor Greg DeMare:

“Shortly after Baker and I got married in 2017, I began to encounter the Father's love in ways that I hadn’t ever before. The Holy Spirit began to baptize me & immerse me in the power of His love & it brought about such a radical transformation in how I followed Jesus & who I was.

In the midst of feeling like Baker and I were getting ready to enter something new, several different friends & leaders spoke into an apostolic calling on my life and an Abrahamic blessing over Baker and I. With the help of several leaders in our life, Baker and I began to pray about how to obey what we felt the Spirit was speaking over us & as we did it became clear that we were to “leave our father’s house & go to a land that He will show us”. As with the call of Abraham in Genesis 12, we were to simply go & trust Him. So in 2019, we did that!

As we stepped into that new season, the Spirit put the word ‘river’ on Baker’s heart as the picture of what this family we were called to begin and cultivate was to be like. A people immersed in the love of the Father as Ezekiel 47 paints a picture of, releasing the life of the Holy Spirit as Jesus said in John 7 and ruling and reigning with Jesus on earth as the city of God prophesied about in Revelation 22.

As River began, the Spirit brought together fifteen people & we began to seek the Lord and let His fire burn us up in His love. That fire comforted us and exposed us in countless ways. We considered if we truly believed Jesus, began to experience being made whole by Him & learned from the Father how to be His family together.

As we’ve grown a bit, we’ve done our best to remain faithful to Him and will continue to do so. Our family is now made up of several beautiful house churches that gather together as one on Sunday mornings & we plan to continue to follow His Spirit into whatever He has for us the same way the Israelites did in Numbers 9.

To the King!”
